The sad little green forest elf stood atop a leaf of an age-old tree, looking out over the terrain below. His transparent greenish wings hung limply by his sides, and his warrior outfit hung loosely on his slim form. He watched his older peers playing below, sadness clear in his bright eyes. He longed to join in the fun, but his age prohibited him from doing so. His peers seemed to move and laugh with ease, while he was stuck feeling intense resentment. The little elf wished he had been born earlier, so he could join his companions in their games and adventures. But with no way to go back, he could only watch and hope that someday he would be granted such opportunity.
