An old, powerful wizard was wandering around the evening city streets with a lantern in hand. He wore long robes and an old, wide-brimmed hat to protect him from the evening air. As he walked, the yellow glow of his lantern illuminated the way, its light casting long, dark shadows from the looming buildings. Some people cast a wary glance over their shoulders as he passed, for his wise and penetrating gaze belied a deep knowledge and power. Not one for idle chatter, he moved silently and without haste, his only company his bright lantern and the distant murmurs of the evening city.
