Notre Dame Du Portage Church. The Church of Notre Dame du Portage is located in Nice and is otherwise called the Church of the Immaculate Conception. It was erected in the 1840s – 1853rd. Because of its location on the coast, the temple immediately turned into a port parish. Directly above it is a beautiful statue depicting the church’s patron – Virgin Mary. In the interior of the temple especially it is especially noticeable a series of picturesque paintings "The Way of the Cross ". It is believed that these paintings were written by Emmanuel Coast.
